NAROOMA BLUE - GWIYAALA & DUNK0TRON

Art (before) and after dark!

Get ready for the biggest glow up Moruya Showground has ever seen!

River of Art’s Luminous is set to deliver a full program of art after dark, live music on two stages and markets this Saturday from 4pm to 9pm.

The River of Art Trail is in full swing all day, so visit the program to see what is on across the Eurobodalla as you make your way to Luminous or visit our Map for a snapshot of what is happening around Moruya.

Entry via Albert Street or The Pink Gates
There are two entries, the Showground’s Main Gate at Albert Street and a smaller gate for pedestrian traffic on the town side of the Showground, so head through The Pink Gates on the corner of Vulcan and Murray Streets.

Gates open at 4pm, with faster access for those who have pre-purchased tickets and free entry for children under 16 who come along with their folks.

Bring your picnic blanket and a chair, but leave the dog and the esky at home, this is a pet-free event with some of the shire’s best food, brewers, distillers and wine makers on site.

If you’re lucky, there may be a ticket or four left for the Luminous Lounge, where you can enjoy an exclusive, elevated experience during Luminous. Mr Bold has crafted a delicious menu showcasing local produce and beverages and there’s a great package deal for groups of four available at the ticketing checkout.
Music and Fun for the Kids
Make your way through the Art and Food Markets to the Celebrate Stage, for Welcome to Country with Muladha Gamara and live sets by folk musician Dan Cully (Melbourne) and local legend Tony Jaggers before the Lanterns from Waste Awards Presentation at 6pm.

You can even dance your way through Luminous with Guru Dudu’s free Silent Disco Walking Tour, meet at the main stage at 5pm and 7pm.

Afterwards groove on the grass to Ron Callo, Benji and the Saltwater Sound System and The Spindrift Saga playing through until 9pm.

The kids will love the Communal Canvas and Kids Circus with Project Alchemy, and it’s right next door to interactive installations where anyone can leave their mark with Patchwork Messages and Forest Flags.

Surrounded by sculptures, the Place Stage goes live at 4.40pm with St Peter’s Vocalists, Sapphire Coast’s Robyn Martin, and Eurobodalla’s Groove Operations and Agency Dub Collection rounding out an intimate show.
Art After Dark
As the sun sets, it’s time for art after dark!

The Big Screen, Pink Cube, Pavilion Walls and a dozen sculptures will come to life with a series of modern art projections, and there’s a lighted path from Visumotus Creative to guide you around the many sights.

Kids will love Scott Bakers ‘Bioluminescence’ where where they can embark on a mesmerising journey into the microscopic world through a spectacular live video projection, and even join in the excitement of creating the show themselves

Narooma artist Cat Wilson has two enchanting and dreamy projections that celebrate nature. Narooma’s Bar Beach features in ‘The Net’ on the Pavilion Wall, while there’s a mind blowing 360 degree skyscape titled ‘Mansions in the Sky’ showing in the River of Art Pink Cube Gallery within the Art Market.

On the Big Screen, the Luminous Megamix features incredible animations by Moruya’s Dunk0tron who has collaborated with Gwiyaala Aboriginal Art (Sydney) and Phibs (international graffiti artist). It’s the perfect spot to enjoy your food and beverages from the Food Market.
