Partners

Without you, we would not have a festival.

River of Art, the vibrant annual Eurobodalla festival that celebrates the extensive art scene along the NSW South Coast, will be kicking off again in September with even greater energy and excitement.

We invite your organization to partner with us in the success of this event.

PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The River of Art Festival celebrates its 16th year as one of the largest events in the NSW regional calendar.

After a couple of COVID affected years, we’re planning a bigger and better Festival in 2022 that will run from 16 to 25 September. There will be a range of open studios, galleries, and performances concluding with a spectacular Luminous – Art After Dark.

The key feature of Luminous will be an internationally recognised laser and light show across the Moruya River by www.geniuslaser.com. The laser and projection light show will be set to music with vivid colours and imagery erupting over the beautiful Moruya River. Festivities will be complemented by an artisans and local produce marketplace, a VIP long table dinner, performing artists, themed feature lights and LEDs throughout the parkland.

The show will be filmed and the dazzling content available online after the event. The event will aim to provide colourful and fun focal point in the heart of the Eurobodalla to close the festival and will be celebrating place and highlighting the rich creative arts offering and produce of the region.

Enabled with significant support and endorsement of our work by all three tiers of Government, we are hoping to attract between 3,000 and 5,000 people at Luminous.

In 2022, the River of Art festival will pivot broader events in all forms of art from paintings and sculpture through to performance art, film, and poetry. It runs from Durras to Eurobodalla over 10 days, featuring more than 120 individual events and activities, attracting a large visitor and local community audience.

Our extensive media and advertising program will promote the Festival throughout the sensational south coast, Canberra and Region and across NSW. Our proximity to Canberra, a relatively wealthy population familiar with the coast as a holiday destination, will be capitalised on in marketing/promotion as well as increasing Sydney and regional NSW visitor numbers through events cross promotion with partners such as the Narooma Oyster Festival in May.

Marketing materials will be widely distributed, print and digital through local businesses, airports, tour operators, real estate agents, cafes, shopfronts, accommodation providers, significant tourism attractions such as Mogo Zoo, National Library, National Galleries and arts group/festivals cross promotion, markets and allied events and locations in ACT, Sydney, and Regional NSW.

Our intensive media campaign will commence in July with the launch of the festival program and editorial and interview opportunities will be pursued through local radio, television, print and online media.

The River of Art currently has 4,000 website users, and during the Festival in 2020 had more than 32,000 page views. Our social media sites through Facebook and Instagram are growing with 2500 and 1200 followers respectively. Other marketing avenues include using tourism specific channels (such as DNSW and Visit Canberra websites), early program promotion and distribution of Save the Date ‘postcards’ so that visitors can plan and media spend/teasers in the lead-up to the event.

This event, along with our well-known Art Prize, open studios, exhibitions, art markets and performances will be a signature event that will draw a wider audience and encouraging people to stay longer and spend more in our community.

The River of Art festival’s Board comprises volunteers with rich and diverse experience and are well-structured and organised team.  Our skills include executive/senior management, communications/marketing, advertising, journalism, finance (CPA qualified), legal/contracting, education, community development, not for profit and arts administration/practice.

Naming Rights – River of Art Prize

The River of Art Prize is a highly popular art prize and exhibition. Artists and makers within and beyond the Eurobodalla region are encouraged to participate. Entries are called in June 2022 and announced on the opening night of the River of Art Festival and is on display to the public to the end of the Festival.

The Prize is judged by two experts providing independence and authority. In 2021 the competition was judged by artist and educator, Denise Ferris, and the Director of the Bega Valley Region Gallery, Iain Dawson. The judges shortlist the finalists (approx. 25 works) and then the overall winner, second and highly commended works. The first prize is $2,000, second $250 and $100.

We believe the Art Prize is worthy of a more generous prize and offers a suitable naming rights opportunity for a suitable partner. Sponsorship funds would also contribute to the opening night celebration and announcement of the winner which attracts significant media attention.

  • Naming rights sponsor of River of Art prize
  • Logo placement on all promotional materials including art gallery and website
  • Speaking opportunity at opening night and announcement of prize
  • Investment of $25,000 over three year agreement (+ 10% GST)
