RoA + NSoA Art Prize + Festival Launch

The 2024 River of Art Prize is now open. We look forward to seeing entries that can cross all mediums from painting, watercolour, mixed media, pencil or sculpture and photography. 

We are thrilled that our partners at the Narooma School of Arts will host the Art Prize exhibition this year as well as the Festival launch and Art Prize announcement on Friday 27 September. We look forward to the festivities so mark that date in your social diaries – thanks @nsoa!  

Entries close on Thursday 8 August, with the launch of the finalists’ exhibition and an awards ceremony on Friday 27 September, marking the start of the Festival’s two week program. Entries can be lodged via the online application form.

Pens Ready!

In association with the South Coast Writers Centre, the River of Art Festival is hosting a Flash Fiction Competition, with winners to be announced in early October.

 

The competition winner will receive $500 and runner ups will receive book vouchers.

 

Shortlisted entrants will be invited to read their work at a literary event during the River of Art Festival when the winners will be announced. The SCWC will also be running a writing workshop (date to be advised).

 

Eurobodalla means ‘land of many waters’. Writers are encouraged to include the theme or words ‘many waters’ in their work in some way, and to interpret the theme in a broad and creative way.

Our Spring Festival is coming to life with new and interesting entries coming in each day. Check the program to see how it’s growing. 

As well as an exciting program of events for the 2024 Arts Trail we’re pulling together some key events to celebrate our 20th Birthday!

Inclusion in the Program, also referred to as the Arts Trail, is open to all artists, makers, performers, musicians in the Eurobodalla shire.

We are also keen for all venues and businesses to join in the Festival – so consider hosting an event and joining in the celebrations.

Please submit your entry through our online form. Note that the closing date for entries is 19 July 2024.
