As the year draws to a close, we want to pause and reflect on what has been a significant year for River of Art and for our creative community across the South Coast.

In 2025, River of Art once again brought together artists, audiences, volunteers, venues, partners and supporters across more than 125 kilometres of coastline. The Festival and its many associated events were made possible through an extraordinary collective effort – from artists who shared their work and stories, to volunteers who gave their time and energy, to sponsors, partners and supporters who believed in the value of creativity in our region.

We extend our sincere thanks to every artist, volunteer, venue, sponsor, donor, media partner and community supporter who contributed to the year just passed. Your support – whether practical, financial, promotional or personal – continues to sustain River of Art as a genuinely artist-led, community-driven organisation.

Looking ahead, 2026 will be a year that asks us to think carefully and creatively about how we support and sustain arts practice in our region. The landscape for cultural organisations continues to shift, but our commitment remains clear: to advocate for artists, to foster meaningful creative experiences, and to ensure that River of Art continues to serve the community with integrity, care and ambition.

As we move into the New Year, we do so with gratitude for the strong foundations built over more than two decades, and with optimism for what can be shaped together next.

We wish you a peaceful and restorative festive season, and we look forward to reconnecting in the year ahead.
