Susurrus – an exhibition

BAS

The first whisper of River of Art 2026 arrives at The BAS a week ahead of the Festival with Susurrus — a group exhibition marking the changing season and setting the creative energy in motion.

Susurrusa whisper, a murmur, the soft stir of the season.
(Pronunciation: soo-SUR-uhs)

This group exhibition invites artists to explore and respond to the many expressions of change. Through diverse approaches and mediums, the works reflect moments of transformation, growth and transition, ranging from the quiet and contemplative to the bold and dynamic.

Drawing inspiration from the rhythms of the natural world and the evolving experiences of everyday life, Susurrus celebrates the beauty of change in all its forms. Visitors are invited to pause, reflect and discover the stories, sensations and possibilities carried on the soft stirrings of spring.
