‘Outback Reconnoitre’ is a mini series of my watercolour paintings on display at Grumpy and Sweethearts’ Café in Mogo. They originate from my roadtrip to the Ikara-flinders Ranges in 2024 where I painted in the great outdoors. My aim is to evoke the expansive desert landscape and the striking mountain ranges of the region. You might catch me as I paint in the Café’s charming courtyard and demonstrate some of the techniques I use to create my paintings. My paintings will be available for viewing whenever the Café is open daily from 7.30am until 2pm and on weekends opening 9am.
