To mark the 2023 River of Art festival, join us at Narooma Library for an exhibition and floor talk by Olivia Matthews.
Olivia is an emerging First Nations artist, a proud Palawa woman from Truwana (Cape Barren Island) and connects with her culture through art and weaving. Olivia exhibits locally and regularly facilitates weaving classes locally.
Browse the photographic exhibition depicting Olivia’s organic, intricate basket weaving and jewellery and join her for a floor talk and demonstration. Olivia will share her knowledge and show you how she creates these beautiful pieces of art, with a focus on the basics of weaving, including the start-to-finish stages of weaving a small basket.
