Mark Ward – Open Studio

Mark Ward’s art practice includes painting, assemblage sculpture and printmaking. Repurposing found materials inspire assemblage sculptures also suggesting imagery for paintings and prints.

Mark’s studio includes an indoor/outdoor studio surrounded by bushland and ocean. Visitors are invited to experience the artist’s working environment and view and discuss finished works and work in progress.
Works from recent exhibitions and the studio collection are for sale at less than exhibition prices.
Easy walking access from Beach Parade (100 metres) or Bay St beachfront carpark. It is child-friendly.

Born in Sydney in 1944, Mark Ward was educated in Australia, graduating from the National Art School Sydney in 1963.
With 18 solo exhibitions in Australia since 1968, his works are represented in public collections including the National Gallery of Australia, NSW Parliament House, New England Regional Art Museum, Artbank as well as private collections in Australia and overseas.
Mark Ward has been living and working on the South Coast of NSW since 2010. He has exhibited in two major exhibitions at The Basil Sellers Art Centre, Moruya.
