ART in Film – Sat Matinee

We’re celebrating art in film this September at Moruya Library with our free matinee movie program.

Starring Salma Hayek and nominated for five Academy Awards, this 2002 biographical film tells the story of the universally acclaimed artist. Also starring Alfred Molina as Diego Rivera, the film includes supporting performances by Antonio Banderas, Edward Norton, and Geoffrey Rush.

The visual language used in the film contributes to its reputation as a piece of art. It is described as a work of art that moves and breathes on its vast canvas and is acknowledged as a loving and fitting memorial to one of modern art’s most revered figures.

Enjoy the film, refreshments, and a chat. Licensing restrictions prevent us from advertising the full movie name, so please ask our friendly Library staff for more information.

Moruya Library closes at 12.30pm on Saturdays. Access to the Moruya Library and the Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre is available via the public car park located at the rear of the library, off Murray Street. There is ramp access from the car park to the entry.
