By the end of this hands-on three-hour class with Linda Godfrey, participants will have written a series of short pieces. We will practice some workshopping to introduce you to editing and giving positive feedback. During the class, as questions arise, we can discuss some formal points of writing that will enable you to produce more dynamic, detailed and individual writing. This class is aimed at writers interested in producing new work, no matter their level.
Bring paper, a pen you are comfortable using, and the willingness to write longhand on paper.
Linda Godfrey is a poet, writer, editor and former Program Manager of the Wollongong Writers Festival. She has worked as a curator of ‘Rocket Readings’ which has featured at Sydney Writers Festival. A passionate reader, manuscript assessor and teacher, Linda’s fiction and poetry has appeared in countless journals and anthologies. Her current ambition is to live on the beach at Agia Triada in Crete where the Minoans built a summer palace and write and swim.
This workshop will be run twice:
At Moruya Golf Club on Saturday 26 September
At Narooma School of Arts on Sunday 27 September.
If an in-person workshop becomes unwise due to COVID-19, this workshop will be run online.
