Having retired from participation in the career moves of a professional artist, I am focussing my energies on the essential meaning of an artist’s work.
Now in my late seventies and under the restraint of limited physical capacity, painting and drawing in the studio and ‘en plein air’ has been a little curtailed.
However in consequence, understanding the essential meaning of art has become more concentrated and necessary to me in my painting.
I have a freight of stock carried over from many exhibitions in the last ten years and some works which will be for sale at the Open Studio Day, River of Art – see my 2024 listing!
I will give a brief talk about art and the making process at 2pm on Sunday 6th October 2024.
