Kait Joan is a multidisciplinary artist creating art on unceded Yuin land.
Joan explores curiosities of the natural world as well as in liminal spaces. She portrays the whimsical magic of the mundane, re-creating feelings of memory linked to space and time. Joan uses a range of mediums including oil paints, drawing, sculpture, film, and textiles across her art practice. She conducts visual cues as a mode for people to connect to the portals that transcend us across these fields. through the bridging of the physical reality in which we exist and the liminal space that exists within and around our earth bodies.
Joan aims to explore the unchangeable co-existence of the two and where in the every day as they merge and glimmer.
