2024 Art prize Conditions
Information
Applications are completed and submitted via an online online application form.
An entry fee of $50.00 per work is payable when making your submission. Entry and payment must be lodged with River of Art by the due date to be eligible.
Please note that in submitting an entry you accept the following Conditions:
Conditions of Entry
- Entry is open to all artists and makers from across Australia, within and beyond the Eurobodalla region.
- All work must be the original unassisted work of the entrant and completed within one year of the exhibition date.
- No identifying makers mark or signature to be visible on images supplied for judging, first round judging is blind.
- Work entered can be for sale. Commission of 20% on sales will be payable to the River of Art. (For example: if you sell your work for $500 we will charge a 20% or $100 commission and pay you $400 for the sale of your work, you would nominate a sale price of $500 in this example on your entry form.)
- Artists are required to furnish an invoice, (tax invoice if GST registered) to River of Art Inc. on all sales.
- All 2D work can be up to one metre (W) X 1.5 metre (H) including frame. 3D work can be up to 2 metre (W) x 1.5 metre (H) x 50cm (D) with a maximum weight of 15 kilos.
- All 2 D work must be ready to hang on a gallery system with D-rings securely attached unless other arrangements are made.
- All 3D work must be free standing or ready to be displayed on a plinth or similar.
- An entry fee of $50.00 per work is payable with the entry form.
- You must provide a high resolution digital image/s of each entered artwork as a jpg file at 300dpi and between 1.5 megabytes and 6 megabytes (1.5MB – 6MB) in file size. Larger files will not upload.
- IMPORTANT NOTE, image naming as below:
artist’s name_title of work_W cm x H cm_photo courtesy of artist or name of photographer.jpeg - No artists name or mark to be identifiable on supplied image – judging is blind.
- No more than two images for each entry
- Finalists and winning artworks will be selected by a panel of judges.
- Finalists work must be available for exhibition for the duration of the exhibition, all works must be delivered & collected, if not sold, on the prescribed dates outside of the exhibition dates.
- Judges decisions are final, no communications will be entered into.
- Sold works can only be collected at the conclusion of the exhibition by the purchaser.
- All 2 D work must be ready to hang with D-rings securely attached.
- All 3D work must be free standing or ready to be displayed on a plinth or similar.
- All care will be taken with entries received, but the River of Art Inc. will not be responsible for loss of or damage to any work. Insurance, if required, is the responsibility of the exhibitor. No responsibility will be taken for work not collected at the end of the display period.
- A limit of 2 entries per artist.
- Finalist works will be exhibited for the duration of the Festival.
- All finalists works will be shown in an online exhibition on the River of Art website using images supplied by the artist.
- All Art Prize entrants within the Eurobodalla are invited to be a part of the Arts Directory. Eurobodalla artists register or update an exisiting entry here. Arts Prize finalists from outside the Eurobodalla may also register here.
