The finalists for the 2026
River of Art Prize have been selected.
This year’s River of Art Prize attracted an outstanding field of entries from artists across the Eurobodalla and beyond, with our judges selecting the finalist works that will come together for the 2026 River of Art Prize exhibition.
Congratulations to our 2026 finalists, and our sincere thanks to every artist who entered. Each entry contributes to the strength and creative energy of the Prize and helps make River of Art possible – supporting a volunteer-led festival that creates opportunities for artists, brings audiences to our region and celebrates creativity across the Eurobodalla.

For visitors, the River of Art Prize exhibition brings the selected works together at the historic Mechanics Institute, Moruya, from 25 September – 5 October 2026. Discover work by established and emerging artists across a range of mediums, find your favourites and cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award.
Many of the finalist works will also be available to purchase, giving you the opportunity to take home an original work of art while directly supporting the artists behind it.

Everyone is welcome – artists, entrants, friends, supporters, locals and visitors – as we celebrate this year’s finalists, announce the Prize winners and open the exhibition together.
Join the Festival – We Need a Few Helping Hands
River of Art is powered by people, and we’re looking for friendly volunteers to help welcome visitors at some of our Festival venues during this year’s Festival.
You don’t need to be an artist or have any special experience. If you enjoy meeting people, supporting the arts and being part of something happening in your community, we’d love to have you involved.
Volunteer hosts help welcome visitors, provide simple information about the exhibition or event, and create the warm, friendly experience we want people to remember when they visit River of Art. Training and all the information you need will be provided.
It’s also a wonderful way to experience the Festival from the inside – meet artists and visitors, discover some great work and connect with others in our creative community.
Whether you can give us one shift, a day or a little more, every bit of help makes a difference to a volunteer-led festival like ours.
