Mogo Festival Day – Sunday 6 October
We’re thrilled to announce that Mogo Festival Day is on Sunday 6 October. The River of Art has been working closely with the Mogo community to bring the town to life!
Join us for street music, art displays, local food and special offerings from Mogo retailers.
Literary Salon and Poetry workshop
2.00pm on Saturday 5 October come along to a poetry workshop with leading poet Elanna Herbert at at the Monarch Hotel in Moruya.
Explore modern free verse and prose poetry in this workshop. Elanna will guide participants through exercises and inviting you to write a poem in response to an object brought from home. This could be a photograph, a small sculpture, or any object holding personal value.

From 4.00pm join us with the South Coast Writers Centre as they present a literary salon with readings of contemporary poetry and short stories from the 2024 SCWC + River of Art Festival Flash Fiction competition and competition winners announced.

Let there be music!
We’ve got a fabulous menu of music during the Festival, from live music in Bodalla, jazz at Bingie Pottery, to quartets at Four Winds pavilion and music in the church.
Join the Casey Greene Quartet on Saturday 28 September at Bingie Pottery to hear a mix of classic arrangements of 1960s Blue Note Jazz era, as well as some fresh original compositions from Casey and Peter. Jeremy Sawkins will join the group on the final set to pay tribute to the great guitarist Wes Montgomery. This will be a special music event in a beautiful outdoor setting.
Don’t miss the Goldner String Quartet at St John’s Moruya on Wednesday 2 October or Friday 4 October at Four Winds, Barraga Bay. The quartet will share their Innermost Thoughts. With a career spanning almost 30 years, the quartet has decided to hang up their bows, but not before sharing some of their favourite works. In a thought-provoking program, featuring compositions by Mozart, Shostakovich and Schubert, audiences will get an insight into the intimate thoughts of some of the greatest minds in history.

Baranguba promises to be a captivating performance with a unique fusion of digital art and traditional storytelling from the renowned Djaadjawan Dancers.
The performances will be a highlight of the River of Art Festival, with shows held on Friday 4 October and Saturday 5 October at the Yuin Theatre, Bay Pavilions in Batemans Bay.
Tickets are $35 for adults, and $25 for concessions, students and children under 18.
