Join us for a very special evening as we open the 2026 River of Art Festival and unveil this year’s River of Art Prize finalist exhibition.

Bringing together artists, supporters, partners and community, the Festival Launch is a celebration of the creativity that shapes our region – and the beginning of eleven days of art, music, film, exhibitions, open studios and creative experiences across the Eurobodalla.

The evening will begin with a Welcome to Country by Walbunja Elder Aunty Loretta Parsley, wearing her magnificent possum-skin cloak, followed by the official opening of the 2026 Festival and reflections from our guest speakers.
We’ll share a snapshot of this year’s Arts Trail, before one of the most anticipated moments of the evening – the announcement of the 2026 River of Art Prize winners and associated awards, surrounded by the works selected for this year’s finalist exhibition.

Throughout the evening, enjoy live music from Jeremy Sawkins, one of Australia’s most accomplished and versatile jazz guitarists, alongside refreshments from Cuppitt’s Estate and food prepared by the CWA.

Come together with artists, friends and visitors, experience this years Prize exhibition for the first time, raise a glass to the creativity of our region, and celebrate the opening of the 2026 River of Art Festival.

Everyone is welcome. We very much hope you can join us for this special evening.
